Function

The pim dm command enables PIM-DM on an interface.

The undo pim dm command restores the default configuration.

Usage Guidelines

By default, PIM-DM is disabled on an interface.

After PIM-DM is enabled on an interface of the VPN instance on a FW, the interface or other interfaces of the VPN instance cannot be enabled with PIM-SM. The instance on a FW cannot be enabled with PIM-DM and PIM-SM simultaneously.

You must run the multicast routing-enable command to enable the multicast function before using the command.
