Usage Scenario

To ensure that statistics about ARP packets that are collected using the display arp packet statistics command are accurate, run the reset arp packet statistics command first to clear the current statistics information.

Precautions

If no slot ID is specified, statistics about ARP packets on all interface boards are displayed. If a slot ID is specified, statistics about ARP packets on a specified interface board are displayed.

The statistics of ARP packets includes:

Number of the received ARP packets
Number of the ARP packets and ARP Miss messages that are discarded due to timestamp suppression
Number of times that ARP entries are learned
