Usage Guidelines

By default, the timeout period is 210 seconds.

A FW creates a timer for each (S, G) entry. The source-lifetime command is used to set the value of the timer. After receiving a multicast packet from S, the interface resets the timer. If the timer times out, the (S, G) entry is considered invalid.

If there is no special requirement, default values are recommended.

Example

# In the public network instance, set the timeout period of an (S, G) entry of the FW to 200 seconds.
