undo mac-address dynamic

Function

The undo mac-address dynamic command deletes the dynamic MAC entries.

Format

undo mac-address dynamic [ interface-type interface-number | vlan vlan-id ] *

Parameters

Parameter Description Value

interface-type interface-number

Specifies the type and number of the interface.

The interface can be a GE interface, or an Eth-Trunk interface.

vlan-id

Specifies the ID of a VLAN.

The value is an integer that ranges from 1 to 4094.

Usage Guidelines

To achieve accurate MAC address learning limit on the interface or the VLAN that has learnt MAC addresses, you can run the undo mac-address dynamic command to clear the learnt addresses.

  • Using the undo mac-address dynamic vlan command, you can delete the dynamic MAC entries generated in a VLAN.

  • Using the undo mac-address dynamic interface-type interface-number command, you can delete the dynamic MAC entries generated on an interface.

  • Using the undo mac-address dynamic interface-type interface-number vlan command, you can delete the dynamic MAC entries generated on an interface in a VLAN. The interface specified in the interface-type interface-number command must reside in the VLAN specified in vlan. To delete the MAC address entries successfully, you must create the VLAN first.

  • If no parameter is specified, all the dynamic MAC entries of the system are displayed.

# Delete the dynamic MAC entries generated in VLAN1.
