category (IPS signature filter view)

Function

The category command adds the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) signature of the specified category to an IPS signature filter.

The undo category command deletes the IPS signature of the specified category from an IPS signature filter.

Format

category { category-name &<1-10> | all }

undo category { category-name &<1-10> | all }

Usage Guidelines

You can add signatures of a maximum of 10 categories to the signature filter at a time. To add signatures of more categories, repeat this command.

Signature categories may vary with IPS signature files. After you update the IPS signature database, view the changes of signature categories and modify configurations accordingly.

When the IPS signature database is not loaded, only parameter all is available.
