Monitoring the IPSec Running Status

Prerequisites

All IPSec configurations are complete.
Before checking statistics about IPSec packets based on an IPSec policy or IPSec profile, run the ipsec policy-statistics enable command to enable the traffic statistics collection function based on the IPSec policy.

In routine maintenance, you can run the following commands in any view to check whether IPSec is functioning properly.

Procedure

Run the display ike sa [ remote { ipv4-address | ipv6-address } ] [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] [ active | standby ] command to check brief information about IKE SAs of the current system.
Run the display ike sa [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] [ active | standby ] [ remote-id-type remote-id-type ] remote-id remote-id command to check brief information about IKE SAs of the current system based on the remote ID.
Run the display ike sa [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] [ all-systems | vsys vsys-name ] [ active | standby ] command system to check information about IKE SAs of all systems including the root system and virtual system.
Run the display ike sa verbose remote { ipv4-address | ipv6-address } | connection-id connection-id | [ remote-id-type remote-id-type ] remote-id remote-id [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] command to check detailed information about IKE SAs of the current system.
Run the display ipsec sa [ [ brief ] [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] | duration | policy policy-name [ seq-number ] | profile profile-name | remote { ipv4-address | ipv6-address } ] command to check IPSec SA information about the current system.
Run the display ipsec sa [ [ brief ] [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] | policy policy-name [ seq-number ] | profile profile-name | remote { ipv4-address | ipv6-address } ] { active | standby } command to check IPSec SA information about the current system.
Run the display ipsec sa [ brief ] [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] [ all-systems | vsys vsys-name ] [ active | standby ] command to check IPSec SA information about all systems including the root system and virtual system.
Run the display ipsec history record [ remote-address remote-address ] [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] command to check history information about IPSec tunnels.
Run the display ipsec statistics [ policy-name policy-name [ seq-number ] | profile-name profile-name ] [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] command to check IPSec packet statistics about the current system.
Run the display ipsec statistics tunnel-number command to check IPSec packet statistics.
Run the display ipsec statistics all-systems command to check IPSec packet statistics about all systems including the root system and virtual system.
Run the display ike statistics { v1 | v2 } [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] command to check IKE statistics.
Run the display ikev2 statistics { eap | error | notify-info | packet | sa } command to check statistics on IPSec tunnels negotiated using IKEv2.
Run the display ipsec backup statistics { send | receive } [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] command to check IPSec backup statistics.
Run the display ipsec backup statistics last { send | receive } slot slot-id cpu cpu-id command to check the last IPSec backup statistics.
Run the display ipsec statistics route [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] command to check IPSec route injection statistics.
Run the display ike error-info [ verbose ] [ peer remote-address ] [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] command to check information about IPSec tunnel negotiation failures using IKE.
Run the display ike offline-info [ peer remote-address ] [ slot slot-id cpu cpu-id ] command to check information about deleted IPSec tunnels established through IKE negotiation.
Run the display udp status ike command to check IKE-enabled interfaces and their status.

The virtual system does not support display ike error-info, display ike offline-info, display ikev2 statistics, display ipsec statistics all-systems, display ipsec backup statistics, display ipsec statistics tunnel-number, display ipsec statistics route, and display udp status ike.
