The profile type ips name command creates an intrusion prevention profile and displays the profile view.
The undo profile type ips command deletes all or the specified intrusion prevention profiles.

The value is a case-sensitive string. If the name does not contain any spaces, the length is 1 to 32 characters. If the name contains spaces, the length is 3 to 34 characters and the name must be enclosed with double quotation marks (""), for example, "user for test". The name cannot contain any question marks (?), commas (,), quotation marks ("), or hyphens (-). |

As a security mechanism, intrusion prevention detects intrusions by analyzing network traffic and responds to intrusions accordingly to terminate the intrusion behaviors.
After you create an intrusion prevention profile, run the signature-set name command in the intrusion prevention profile view to configure a signature filter and run the exception ips-signature-id command to configure exception signatures.
After you configure the intrusion prevention profile, run the profile ips name command in the security policy rule view to make the intrusion prevention profile take effect.
