update force apply

Function

The update force apply command forcibly installs the downloaded update files.

Format

update force apply { av-sdb | cnc | file-reputation | ip-reputation | ips-sdb | sa-sdb }

cnc	Forcibly installs the malicious domain name database update files.	-
file-reputation	Forcibly installs the file reputation signature database update files. NOTE: Only the USG6510E/6510E-POE does not support this parameter.	-
ip-reputation	Forcibly installs the IP reputation database update files.	-
ips-sdb	Forcibly installs the IPS signature database update files.	-
sa-sdb	Forcibly installs the service awareness signature database update files.	-

Usage Guidelines

Running the update force apply command causes the IAE not to take effect in a short time and resets all IAE-related session tables. Therefore, exercise cautions when using this command.

When you run the update apply command to download update files, the update fails in case of insufficient system memory. In this case, you can run the update force apply command to forcibly install downloaded update files.
