Function

The update force restore sdb-default command forcibly restores the signature database to the default version.

Format

update force restore sdb-default { av-sdb | file-reputation | ips-sdb | sa-sdb }

Parameters

Forcibly restores the AV signature database to the default version.

file-reputation

Forcibly restores the file reputation signature database to the default version.

NOTE:

Only the USG6510E/6510E-POE does not support this parameter.

ips-sdb

Forcibly restores the IPS signature database to the default version.

sa-sdb

Forcibly restores the service awareness signature database to the default version.

Usage Guidelines

  • After you run the update force restore sdb-default command, the signature database files corresponding to the rollback version and download version of the signature database will be deleted.

  • Running the update force restore sdb-default command causes the IAE not to take effect within a short period, resets all IAE-related session tables, and interrupts some services. Therefore, exercise caution when running this command.

When you run the update restore sdb-default command to restore the signature database to the default version, the update fails if the system memory is insufficient. In this case, you can attempt to run the update force restore sdb-default command to forcibly restore the signature database to the default version.
