Function

The update online-mode command sets the online update mode of the signature database.

The undo update online-mode command restores the default setting.

update online-mode { http | https }

Parameters

Usage Guidelines

By default, the online update is in HTTPS mode.

Update in HTTP mode is risky, and update in HTTPS mode is recommended. To perform update in HTTP mode, you must strictly restrict security policy matching conditions.

This setting applies only to online update in direct update scenarios (including scheduled update and immediate update) but not online update through a proxy server.
