Configuring an Application Group

This section describes how to group applications that are subject to the same policies to simplify policy configuration.

Context

You can add predefined and user-defined applications to an application group if they are subject to the same policies.

Procedure

  1. Create an application group and access the application group view.

    application-group name name

  2. Optional: Configure a description for the application group.

    description description

  3. Add applications to the application group.

    add application application-name &<1-5>

Follow-up Procedure

After configuring the application group, you can run the rename new-name command in the application group view to rename the application group.
