Limitations and Precautions for Diagnosis Center

Hardware Requirements

Only the USG6635E/6655E, USG6510E/6510E-POE, USG6530E, USG6515E/6550E/6560E/6580E, and USG6525E/6555E/6565E/6575E-B/6585E/6605E-B support traffic source tracing. Other diagnosis center functions are supported by all device models.

License Requirements

The diagnosis center function is not license-controlled.

Diagnosis Center Restrictions

System administrators support the diagnosis center function. Before using this function, confirm the administrator role.

IPSec Intelligent Link Selection does not support IPSec diagnosis.

Packet Tracing Restrictions

• After the packet tracing function is enabled, CPU resources are occupied. Therefore, set diagnosis parameters based on actual fault locating requirements to prevent excessive CPU usage and unstable running of the device.
• The web UI supports the tracing and diagnosis of Layer 3 packets, not Layer 2 packets.
• When the packet tracing function is enabled on the web UI, the last operation is used as the diagnosis result.
• The packet tracing function on the web UI (packet processing flowchart) supports only IPv4 packets, not IPv6 packes.

Information Collection Restrictions

Information collection affects the CPU usage of the management plane. Therefore, collect information off-peak hours, and obtain collected information through Web or Telnet, but not through the serial interface.

Traffic Source Tracing Restrictions

The traffic source tracing function does not collect statistics on traffic for hardware fast forwarding. To collect statistics on all traffic, disable hardware fast forwarding first.
