Configuring Log Version Compatibility
The FW can output session information in different formats to log hosts.
The FW can send V3 or V8 binary session logs. On the basis of V3 binary session logs, V8 binary session logs add the user and application fields. If the eLog server of an earlier version is used, set the version to V3.

Binary session logs of version 3 and version 8 are supported. By default, binary session logs of version 8 are used. If eLog V200R003C10 or an earlier version is used, binary session logs of version 3 are required. In addition, for the USG6000E, you must also set the log server port to 9903 (with the firewall log host command). The session logs of version 3 for the USG6000E are in dataflow format.
The parameter indicates that the version number of session log packets, but not the version number of the FW.
