Maintaining PIM-SM

You can use related commands to display the PIM-SM running status. If necessary, you can clear the PIM-SM control message statistics or enable the PIM-SM debugging.

Monitoring the PIM-SM Running Status: In routine maintenance, you can run the commands described in this section in any view to display the information about the PIM-SM running status.

Clearing Statistics of PIM Control Messages: After the PIM control message statistics on the interface are cleared, previous statistics cannot be recovered. Perform this operation with caution.

Clearing the PIM Status of the Specified Downstream Interfaces of PIM Entries: After the PIM control message statistics on the interface are cleared, previous statistics cannot be recovered. Perform this operation with caution.

Debugging PIM-SM: When PIM-SM runs abnormally, you can run the commands described in this section in the user view to debug PIM, then view the debugging information and locate the fault.
