Disabling the SA Cache Function
You are allowed to disable the Source Active (SA) cache function. Then, when a device wants to receive multicast data, it needs to wait for the SA message to be sent by its MSDP peer in the next period. This results in a delay in obtaining multicast data.
Prerequisites
Before disabling the SA cache function, complete the following tasks:
- Configuring a unicast routing protocol to implement interconnection at the network layer
- Enabling IP multicast
- Configuring a PIM-SM domain to implement intra-domain multicast
- Configuring PIM-SM Inter-domain Multicast or Configuring PIM-SM Inter-domain Multicast
Procedure
- Access the system view.
- Access the MSDP view.
msdp [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]
- Disable the SA Cache function.
