Configuring the Negotiation DNS Server Address

This section describes how to configure the negotiation DNS server address.

Context

When the FW connects to a carrier's access server using PPP, the device must be configured to accept the DNS server address specified by the access server or to request a DNS server address from the access server. In this way, the device can connect to the network using a domain name.

Procedure

  1. Access the system view.

    system-view

  2. Access the interface view.

  3. Configure the local end to request the peer end for the IP address of the DNS server.

  4. Enable the device to use any DNS server address proposed by the peer end.
