(Optional) Configuring Sticky Session

This section describes how to configure sticky session for SLB on the web UI.

Configuring Sticky Session

  1. Choose Policy > Server Load Balancing > Sticky Session.
  2. In Sticky Session List, click Add.
  3. Configure sticky session.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

    Name of a sticky session

    Type

    Type of sticky session algorithm. There are three types of sticky session algorithm, namely, source IP, Cookie, and SSL session ID. For details, see Sticky Session.

    If the sticky session algorithm type is Cookie, you can configure three sticky session modes, namely, insert, passive, and rewrite, and choose to set a Cookie Name. Different Cookie-based sticky session algorithms have different Cookie names.

    Timeout

    Aging time of entries in the sticky session list
    • Source IP: The default time is 180s.
    • Cookie: The default time is 600s.
    • SSL session ID: The default time is 300s.

  4. Click OK.

Sticky Session List

After configuring Sticky Session, you can view sticky session configuration in Sticky Session List.

Parameter

Description

Name

Name of the sticky session algorithm.

Type

Sticky session type.

Timeout

Timeout time of the session.

Hold Mode

Hold mode of a Cookie-based sticky session

Cookie Name

Cookie name. This parameter is set only when the Cookie-based sticky session algorithm is used.

Edit

This parameter is used to edit sticky session configuration.
