Overview of Tags
When the device has a large number of policies created, you can identify and categorize the policies with tags. If you attempt to view and process in batches policies of a certain type, you can search for the policies based on their tags.
For example, create tags for and categorize policies from the following dimensions on the
FW:
- Department: Create tags marketing department, R&D department, and finance department to categorize policies.
- User permission: Create tags restricted user and non-restricted user to categorize policies.
After creating the tags, reference them in the policies so that the tags can identify the policies. To obtain the policies of the
marketing department, search for the
marketing department tag. You can delete, move, enable, or disable policies in batches based on the query result.
You can reference tags in various policy views. The following policies support the tag function:
- Security policy
- Authentication policy
- Traffic policy
- PBR
- NAT policy
- Audit policy
- Proxy policy
- Quota control policy
- DNS transparent proxy policy
- SACG interworking policy
- Encrypted traffic inspection policy
