backup-configuration

Function

The backup-configuration command specifies a configuration file for disaster recovery.

The undo backup-configuration command cancels the settings of configuration file for disaster recovery.

By default, no configuration file is specified for disaster recovery.

Format

backup-configuration backup-filename

undo backup-configuration

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
backup-filename Specifies the name of the configuration file for disaster recovery. The value is a string of 5 to 64 case-insensitive characters, spaces not supported. The file must be a ZIP or CFG file.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The configuration file provides a means for disaster recovery if the currently modified configuration file does not meet the requirement.

Configuration Impact

If a configuration file is specified for disaster recovery, the file is copied and saved in the hda1 directory as nicecfg. The file cannot be deleted, modified, overwritten, or referenced by the startup saved-configuration command.

Follow-up Procedure

You can run the display backup-configuration command to display the content of the configuration file.
