Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In the OAM MGR view where an association is configured between different modules, if an interface board or a subcard on which the association is configured is removed or powered off, you can run the clear mgr inactive-configuration command to clear the corresponding association configurations. This way protects association on other interface boards or subcards.

In a scenario where connectivity fault management (CFM) is associated with the Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), if the interface board on which VRRP is configured is removed from its slot, run the clear mgr inactive-configuration command to delete the configurations of the association between CFM and VRRP. After that, you can associate CFM with other functions.

Configuration Impact

If configurations of an association are cleared using this command, the status of an associated module may not be restored. For the association between CFM and VRRP, if the interface board on which the VRRP is configured is removed, CFM status may not be recovered.

Precautions

After the clear mgr inactive-configuration command is run, configurations of an association between the CFM and VRRP are deleted and cannot be restored. Exercise caution when using this command.

Example

# Delete the OAM MGR module.
<sysname> system-view
[sysname] clear mgr inactive-configuration slot 1
The inactive oam-mgr configuration related to the interfaces of the slot or card will be deleted and cannot be restored, continue? [Y/N]y
