The dialer timer idle command configures the interval that a link is allowed to be idle (in other words, the interval when there is no packets which comply with the "permit" statements transmitted) after a call has been set up on the interface.
The undo dialer timer idle command restores the default interval.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
seconds |
Specifies the period of time that a link is allowed to be idle. |
The value ranges from 10 to 65535 in seconds. The default value is 600 seconds. |
Before configuring the dialer timer idle command, run the dialer user command to enable Resource-Shared DCC or run the dialer enable-circular command to enable Circular DCC.
After a link is set up, the timer idle timer will take effect. If no packets which comply with the permit statements are transmitted on the link within the specified time, DCC will automatically disconnect the link.
