The dialer timer enable command sets the interval for an interface to initiate the next call after a link is disconnected.
The undo dialer timer enable command restores the default interval.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| seconds | Specifies the interval for initiating the next call. | The value ranges from 5 to 65535 seconds. The default value is 8 seconds. |
Before configuring the dialer timer enable command, run the dialer user command to enable Resource-Shared DCC or run the dialer enable-circular command to enable Circular DCC.
When the local end calls the peer end, if the link is always busy or the dialup fails, use the dialer timer enable command to set the interval for initiating the next call to avoid the overload of switching devices.
