Usage Guidelines

To rapidly view the status information and packet statistics about the interface, run the display this interface command in the interface view.

Although the default level of the display this interface command is the monitoring level, this command must be used in the interface view. When this command is used, the level of a user must be the configuration level or a higher level.

Item	Description
GigabitEthernet0/0/1 current state	Physical status of GigabitEthernet0/0/1: UP: The physical layer status of the interface is normal. DOWN: The physical layer of the interface fails. Administratively down: The shutdown command is run on the interface by the administrator. Flow Down: The status of the data flow on the interface is Down. This status is consistent with the status of the bound mVRRP virtual router. If the status of the bound mVRRP virtual router is Backup or Initialize, the status of the data flow on the service interface is Down.
Line protocol current stat	Status of the link protocol of the interface: UP: The link protocol status of the interface is normal. DOWN: The link protocol status of the interface fails or the interface is not configured with an IP address. UP (spoofing): The link protocol status of the interface has the spoofing feature. That is, the link protocol status of the interface keeps Up.
Description	Description about the interface. Up to 80 characters can be entered. The description can help the user to get familiar with the interface function.
The Maximum Transmit Unit	The packet larger than the MTU is fragmented before being sent. If the non-fragmentation is configured, the packet is discarded.
Hold timer	Life cycle of the packet. If the packet is not sent out during the life cycle, it is discarded.
Internet Address	IP address and the subnet mask of the interface.
IP Sending Frames' Format	Ethernet frame format sent on the interface. The default value is Ethernet_2. The Ethernet can identify the following format: Ethernet_2 Ethernet_SNAP 802.2 802.3
Hardware address	MAC address of the interface.
Max-bandwidth	Maximum bandwidth.
Top 3 input bit rate	Top 3 bits inputted per second on the interface.
Top 3 output bit rate	Top 3 bits outputted per second on the interface.
Top 3 input packet rate	Top 3 packets inputted per second on the interface.
Top 3 output packet rate	Top 3 packets outputted per second on the interface.
Output queue	Current status of it includes three types of Output queue: Urgent queue indicates the protocol packet of link layer, such as the packets of PPP and Keepalive enters this queue. Protocol queue indicates the packet 6 IP precedence enters this queue. According to the queue types applied on the interface, FIFO queue, may be FIFO (First In First Out Queue), PQ (Priority Queue), CQ (Custom Queue), or CBQ (Class-based Queue). When congestion happens, an interface sends the packets in Urgent queue first, those in Protocol queue the second and in FIFO queue the third. As for the output queue, the meaning of the fields is as follows: Size the number of packets in the queue. Length length of the longest queue in packets. Discards the number of discarded packets because the queue is full.
Last 300 seconds input/output	Average rate of packets received/sent within the last 300s. The time range can be set through set flow-stat interval.
Input/output	The total number of packets and bytes received and sent.
