Function

The mandatory-chap command enables forcible CHAP authentication on the client.

The undo mandatory-chap command disables forcible CHAP authentication.

By default, CHAP re-authentication is not implemented.

Usage Guidelines

If the mandatory-chap command is executed, two authentications are implemented on a client whose tunnel connection is initialized by an access server:

The first authentication on the access server

The second authentication on LNS side

Some PPP clients may not support the second authentication. In this case, CHAP authentication of the local end fails.
