The mandatory-lcp command enables Link Control Protocol (LCP) re-negotiation between the LNS and the client.
The undo mandatory-lcp command disables LCP re-negotiation.
By default, LCP re-negotiation is disabled.
You can run the mandatory-lcp command to enable LCP re-negotiation between the LNS and the client regardless of agent authentication information of the NAS.
If some PPP clients do not support the LCP re-negotiation, LCP re-negotiation fails.
A NAS-initiated VPN client implements PPP negotiation with the NAS before a PPP session starts. After the negotiation succeeds, the NAS initializes a tunnel connection and sends the negotiation information to the LNS. According to the received information, the LNS determines whether the client is legitimate.
