The memory-usage-dataplane sudden-change alarm-threshold command sets the alarm threshold on sudden memory usage change on the data plane.
The undo memory-usage-dataplane sudden-change alarm-threshold command restores the alarm threshold on sudden memory usage change on the data plane to the default value.

| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
threshold-value |
Specifies the alarm threshold on sudden memory usage change on the data plane. |
The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 99, in percentage (%). The default value is 40, and the recommended value is 30. NOTE:
The threshold-value value cannot be too small. Otherwise, the device may output a large number of alarms. |
If the change of the memory usage on the data plane within a specified period of time (60 seconds ) reaches the alarm threshold specified by threshold-value, the memory usage experiences a sudden change. For example, the alarm threshold on sudden memory usage change on the data plane is 40%, the existing memory usage on the is 85%, and the memory usage in the last second is 40%. In this case, the memory usage increases by 45%, exceeding the alarm threshold 40%. The device identifies this process as a sudden change on the memory usage.
If the change of the memory usage on the data plane within a specified period of time reaches the alarm threshold on sudden memory usage change, alarm ENTEXT_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.2.0.30 hwEntityExtMemoryUsageSuddenChangeNotification is outputted. To make the sudden memory usage change alarm function take effect, you must run the memory-usage-dataplane sudden-change alarm enable command to enable it.
If the alarm threshold on sudden memory usage change on the data plane is set to 40%, the existing memory usage of the is 100%, and the memory usage in the last second is 70%, the memory usage increases by 30%. In this case, the alarm on sudden memory usage change is not outputted. Instead, alarm ENTEXT_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.2.0.5 hwEntityExtMemUsageThresholdNotification is outputted.
