Usage Guidelines

A FW allows multiple users to share a login name by default.

The undo multi-ip online enable command allows a login name to be used only on one PC at one time. If a login name is being used on a PC, you cannot use the login name on PCs at other IP addresses.

The multi-ip online enable (local user view), multi-ip online enable (user group view), and multi-ip online enable (security group view) commands change the multi-IP login setting of a user, but the final setting is determined by the command that is executed last. You can run display user-manage userverbose name user-name to check the multi-IP login attribute of a user.
  • The multi-ip online enable command executed in the user group view is the same as the same command executed in the user view of all users of this user group.

  • The multi-ip online enable command executed in the security group view is the same as the same command executed in the user view of all users of this security group.

Example

# Prevent multiple users from sharing a login name.

<sysname> system-view
[sysname] user-manage user test
[sysname-localuser-test] undo multi-ip online enable
