Usage Guidelines

Only the USG6712E/6716E supports this command.

By default, the 100GE interface mode is disabled. XGE0/0/12 to XGE0/0/19 and 40GE0/0/0 to 40GE0/0/3 are valid. In addition, 100GE0/0/0 and 100GE0/0/1 are mutually exclusive with XGE0/0/12 to XGE0/0/19. If 100GE interfaces are required, run the set device port-config-mode 100g-port enable command to enable 100GE0/0/0 and 100GE0/0/1. In this case, XGE0/0/12 to XGE0/0/19, 40GE0/0/2, and 40GE0/0/3 become invalid.

Configuration Impact

After the command for enabling the 100GE interface mode is run, the command takes effect only after the device is restarted. So before running this command, you are advised to check whether services are configured on these 10GE interfaces and run the save command to save the configuration to prevent the configuration loss after the device is restarted. When the number of device interfaces (including physical and logical interfaces) reaches 4088, the 100GE interface mode cannot be switched to the 40GE interface mode. Otherwise, configurations may be lost.

Example

<sysname> system-view
[sysname] set device port-config-mode 100g-port enable
Warning: The interface 40GE0/0/2 and 40GE0/0/3 will switch to 100GE0/0/0 and 100GE0/0/1, and XGE0/0/12 ~ XGE0/0/19 will be unavailable.
The original interface and configuration will be lost, and the device will reboot right now. Continue? [Y/N] y
