The switch bypass command switches the interface to the bypass state.

The undo switch bypass command switches the interface to the non-bypass state.

By default, the interfaces in the bypass interface pair are in non-bypass state.

When the interfaces in the bypass interface pair work as electrical interfaces in Layer 2 mode, they can be switched to the bypass state.

Two methods are available to enable the interfaces to work in bypass state:

You can run the switch bypass command to switch the interfaces to the bypass state.
When the device is powered off or restarted unexpectedly, the interfaces automatically switch to the bypass state.

When interfaces in the bypass interface pair are in bypass state, they become directly connected to transparently transmit services.
