tracert-livetime

Function

The tracert-livetime command sets the lifetime of Trace tests.

The undo tracert-livetime command restores the default setting.

Format

tracert-livetime first-ttl first-ttl max-ttl max-ttl

undo tracert-livetime

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Value
first-ttl first-ttl	Specifies the initial TTL of the test packet.	It ranges from 1 to 255. The default value is 1.
max-ttl max-ttl	Specifies the maximum TTL of the test packet.	It ranges from 1 to 255. The default value is 30. max-ttl should be larger than first-ttl.

Usage Guidelines

Prerequisites

Before using the tracert-hopfailtimes command, run the test-type command to specify the type of the test instance as trace.

Precautions

You cannot change this configuration when the test is performed.

Example

# Set the initial TTL and maximum TTL of the test named admin trace to 5 and 20.
