usb autoupdate config-userid

Function

The usb autoupdate config-userid command configures the password for decrypting the configuration file.

The undo usb autoupdate config-userid command deletes the password configured for decrypting the configuration file.

Parameters

Parameter Description Value

config-userid

Specifies the password for decrypting the configuration file.

  • The value is a string of 8 to 255 characters. The system converts the string to a ciphertext string of 32 to 392 characters.
  • For security, the password must meet the minimum complexity requirement. That is, the password must contain three types of the following: uppercase letters (A to Z), lowercase letters (a to z), digits (0 to 9), and special characters (excluding ! $ & ( ) " ' - < > ` | \ ;). Keep the entered character string secure.

Usage Guidelines

If you need to upgrade the configuration file and the configuration file in the USB flash drive is an encrypted ZIP package, run this command to set the password for decompressing the package.

For security, you are advised to save the encrypted configuration file (a ZIP package) in the USB flash drive.

After automatic upgrade through USB is enabled, if you run the undo usb autoupdate config-userid command to delete the password for decrypting the configuration file, automatic upgrade through USB is also disabled.
