Usage Guidelines

By default, when the interface changes from a DR to a non-DR, the interface stops forwarding data immediately.

Before the PIM DR switching delay expires on the interface, disabling the delay function or updating the delay takes effect after the delay expires.

You must run the multicast routing-enable command to enable the multicast function before using the command.

This command and pim silent command are mutually exclusive.

Example

# Enable PIM DR switching delay on GE0/0/3 and set the delay to 20 seconds.
<sysname> system-view
[sysname] multicast routing-enable
[sysname] interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/3
[sysname-GigabitEthernet0/0/3] pim timer dr-switch-delay 20
