Usage Guidelines

By default, the interval for retransmitting Graft messages on an interface is 3 seconds.

In PIM-DM mode, when a member joins a pruned group, the FW sends a Graft message and waits to receive an ACK message from the upstream router. If the downstream router does not receive the ACK message in the period configured through the command, the FW resends the Graft message until the FW receives the ACK message from the upstream router.

You must run the multicast routing-enable command to enable the multicast function before using the command.

Example

# Set the interval for retransmitting Graft messages to 80s on the interface.
<sysname> system-view
[sysname] multicast routing-enable
[sysname] interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/0
[sysname-GigabitEthernet0/0/0] pim timer graft-retry 80
