reset pim control-message counters

Function

The reset pim control-message counters command resets the statistics about PIM Control messages.

Format

reset pim [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name | all-instance ] control-message counters [ interface interface-type interface-number ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
vpn-instance vpn-instance-name Specifies a VPN instance. vpn-instance-name specifies the name of the VPN instance. The name is a string of 1 to 31 characters.
all-instance Specifies all the instances. -
interface interface-type interface-number Specifies the name and the number of an interface. It is used to reset the statistics about PIM control messages on a specified interface. -

Usage Guidelines

When the reset pim control-message counters command is used, the following situations occur:

  • If vpn-instance or all-instance is not specified, the statistics about only the public network instance are reset.

  • If interface is not specified, the statistics about PIM control messages of all interfaces of the instance on the FW are reset. After the statistics about PIM control messages are reset, PIM still works normally.

# Reset the statistics about PIM control messages on all interfaces in the public network instance.

<sysname> reset pim control-message counters
# Reset the statistics about PIM control messages on the GE 1/0/0 in the public network instance.
<sysname> reset pim control-message counters interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/0
