shutdown (MSDP)

Function

The shutdown command closes the connection to a specified MSDP peer.

The undo shutdown command restores the default configuration.

Format

shutdown peer-address

undo shutdown peer-address

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
peer-address Specifies the IP address of an MSDP peer. The address is in dotted decimal notation.

Usage Guidelines

By default, the connection to the MSDP peer is not closed after the peer relationship is established.

TCP connections are set up among MSDP peers. Use the shutdown command to close TCP connections with remote MSDP peers.

Use the display msdp brief command to view brief status information about the TCP connections with all remote MSDP peers.

Use the display msdp peer-status command to view detailed status information about the TCP connections with specified remote MSDP peers.

# Close MSDP peer 10.10.7.6.
