The reset msdp statistics command clears statistics about one or more MSDP peers without resetting the MSDP peer(s).
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| vpn-instance vpn-instance-name | Specifies a VPN instance to be reset. vpn-instance-name specifies the name of the VPN instance. | The name is a string of 1 to 31 characters. |
| all-instance | Indicates all the instances. | - |
| peer-address | Specifies the address of an MSDP peer. | The address is in dotted decimal notation. If the peer-address is not specified, the statistics about all MSDP peers are cleared. |
When the reset msdp statistics command is run, the MSDP peer statistics are cleared. However, TCP connections among peers remain open, and MSDP services are not affected.
If vpn-instance or all-instance is not specified, statistics about the MSDP peers in the public network instance are deleted.
To clear the statistics about an MSDP peer and rebuild TCP connections among MSDP peers at the same time, use the reset msdp peer command.
