reset msdp sa-cache

Function

The reset msdp sa-cache command clears (S, G) entries in the Source Active (SA) cache.

Format

reset msdp [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name | all-instance ] sa-cache [ group-address ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
vpn-instance vpn-instance-name Specifies a VPN instance. vpn-instance-name specifies the name of the VPN instance. The name is a string of 1 to 31 characters.
all-instance Indicates all the instances. -
group-address Specifies the address of a multicast group. The address is in dotted decimal notation and ranges from 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255.

Usage Guidelines

When the reset msdp sa-cache is command is used, the following situations occur:

  • If vpn-instance or all-instance is not specified, only the entries in the SA cache of the public network instance are cleared.

  • If group-address is specified, the (S, G) entries with this address as the group address in the SA cache are cleared.

  • If group-address is not specified, all (S, G) entries in the SA cache are cleared.

Example

# Clear the (S, G) entries with the group address of 225.5.4.3 in the SA cache.
