snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ifnet

Function

The snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ifnet command enables the trap function for the IFNET module.

The undo snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ifnet command disables the trap function for the IFNET module.

Format

snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ifnet [ trap-name trap-name ]

undo snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ifnet [ trap-name trap-name ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
trap-name trap-name Specifies the feature that generates alarms.
  • hwextinterfacedelete : This notification indicates the time when the interface was deleted.
  • hwifcontrolflapresume : The hwIfControlFlapResume event is generated when the interface changes from the suppressed state to the unsuppressed state.
  • hwifcontrolflapresumeipv6 : The hwIfControlFlapResumeIPv6 event is generated when the interface changes from the suppressed state to the unsuppressed state for IPv6.
  • hwifcontrolflapsuppress : The hwIfControlFlapSuppress event is generated when the interface changes from the unsuppressed state to the suppressed state.
  • hwifcontrolflapsuppressipv6 : The hwIfControlFlapSuppressIPv6 event is generated when the interface changes from the unsuppressed state to the suppressed state for IPv6.
  • hwifmonitorinputrateresume : Indicates that the incoming traffic rate falls below the alarm threshold.
  • hwifmonitorinputraterising : Indicates that the incoming traffic rate exceeds the alarm threshold.
  • hwifmonitoroutputrateresume : Indicates that the outgoing traffic rate falls below the alarm threshold.
  • hwifmonitoroutputraterising : Indicates that the outgoing traffic rate exceeds the alarm threshold.
  • hwifnamechange : Indicates an alarm of the interface's name changes from a three-dimensional one to a four-dimensional one when the single chassis is smoothly upgraded to a multi-chassis.
  • hwifnamechangeresume : Indicates an alarm of the interface's name changes from a four-dimensional one to a three-dimensional one when the multi-chassis is reverted to a single chassis.
  • linkdown : Indicates an alarm of the interface's link status changes to down.
  • linkup : Indicates an alarm of the interface's link status changes to up.

The value is an enumerated value and must be set as prompted by the device.

Usage Guidelines

By default, the trap function is disabled for the IFNET module.
