The timer other-querier-present command globally sets the Keepalive period of other IGMP queriers.
The undo timer other-querier-present command restores the default configuration.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
| interval | Specifies the Keepalive period of the other IGMP queriers. | The value is an integer ranging from 60 to 300, in seconds. |
By default, the formula used to calculate the Keepalive period of the other queriers is: the Keepalive period of the other IGMP queriers = robustness variable x the interval for sending IGMP general query messages + 1/2 x maximum response time. When default values of robustness variable, the interval for sending IGMP general query messages, and maximum response time are used, the Keepalive period of the other IGMP querier is 125 seconds.
The function of this command is the same as that of the igmp timer other-querier-present command used in the interface view, except for the function range. The configuration in the IGMP view is globally valid in the instance, whereas the configuration in the interface view is valid only for the current interface. The system prefers the configuration in the system view. The configuration in the IGMP view is used only when the configuration in the interface view is not done.
