The trap-threshold crc-error command sets an alarm threshold for CRC errors occurring within a certain period.
The undo trap-threshold crc-error command restores the default alarm threshold for CRC errors and default period.
By default, the alarm threshold for CRC errors is 3, and the interval at which CRC error statistics are collected is 10 seconds.
| Parameter | Description | Value |
|---|---|---|
crc-error threshold |
Specifies the alarm threshold for CRC errors. |
The value is an integer that ranges from 0 to 65535. The default value is 3, and value 0 indicates that the alarm sending function is disabled. |
interval-second interval |
Specifies a time period. |
This parameter cannot be set and is 10 seconds by default. |
When the number of CRC errors occurring within a certain period exceeds the set alarm threshold, the system sends a trap message to the NMS. When the number of CRC errors falls below the alarm threshold, the system sends a trap-clearance message to the NMS.
When the number of CRC error packets exceeds threshold, alarm IFNET_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.41.4.1 hwIfMonitorCrcErrorRising is sent. When the number of CRC error packets falls below threshold, alarm IFNET_1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.41.4.2 hwIfMonitorCrcErrorResume is sent.
There are multiple modes for configuring the sending of CRC error alarms, such as setting the percentage of CRC error packets and setting the number of CRC error packets in a specified period. However, you can configure only one CRC error alarm mode on an interface. If you run this command multiple times, only the latest configuration takes effect.
