Viewing Traffic Reports in the Source Address or Destination Address Dimension

This topic describes how to view traffic reports in the source address or destination address dimension.

You can view the status of sent or received traffic or trend of traffic generated for accessing an application of a source address or a destination address in traffic reports in the source address or destination address dimension.

Viewing Reports

To view traffic reports in the source address or destination address dimension, click the Source Address/Destination Address tab. The methods for viewing traffic reports in the source address and destination address dimensions are the same. This section uses the source address dimension as an example to describe how to view traffic reports.

The traffic report of the source address shows the historical statistics by default. You can also view real-time traffic statistics in the traffic report of the source address. For details, see Dashboard > Source Address Ranking by Real-Time Traffic.

Customizing Generated Reports

You can narrow the search range to view top rankings in a specific dimension using the advanced search function. To customize generated reports, specify one or more search conditions in Add Filter, and click Refresh. Advanced search supports the following search conditions:
  • Source Address:

In the source address dimension, you can view the volume of traffic generated from a source address.

In the destination address dimension, you can view top N traffic volume generated for accessing destination addresses from this source address.

  • Destination Address:

In the source address dimension, you can view top N traffic volume generated for accessing this destination address from source addresses.

In the destination address dimension, you can view the volume of traffic generated for accessing this destination address.

  • Application: You can view top N traffic volume generated for an application type in the source address or destination address dimension.
  • User: You can view top N traffic volume generated for a user in the source address or destination address dimension.

For example, the following figure shows specific operations and displayed data for comparing traffic generated by source IP addresses for accessing destination address 192.168.19.241.

Drilling Traffic in the Application Dimension

Only the USG6000E (not including USG6510E/6510E-POE/6530E) support this function.

You can drill the application dimension for certain traffic. To view traffic of an application, you can click a data link.

For example, if the volume of traffic initiated from a source address is extremely high, you can view the application traffic trend corresponding to this source address. The following figure shows the specific operations and displayed information.
