After you run the command, the current device works as
the standby device, which brings about the following effects:
- when the VGMP groups on the active and standby devices have the
same priority, and no VRRP backup group is configured, if you have
configured the function to modify the OSPF, OSPFv3, or BGP costs based
on the HRP state, the cost values increase after you run the command.
- when the VGMP groups on the active and standby devices have the
same priority, and no VRRP backup group is configured, if you have
configured hrp track vlan on the device, the VLAN under monitoring
is prohibited to forward packets.
If the hrp standby-device command
and VRRP group are both configured on a device, the VRRP group determines
the device status, and the hrp standby-device command
configuration does not take effect. Therefore, if a VRRP group is
configured, you are not advised to run the hrp standby-device command.
