Enabling the Trap Function

If traffic matches a traffic policy and the traffic volume exceeds the thresholds specified in the traffic profile after you enable the trap function for bandwidth management, the bandwidth management module will generate packet discarding trap messages and output these messages to the information center. IPv6 traffic discarding trap messages are not supported.

Prerequisites

You have completed Configuring the FW to Output Alarms.

Procedure

Enable the packet discarding trap function for bandwidth management in the system view.
traffic-policy discard packet trap enable
Optional: Set the maximum number of trap messages that can be sent concurrently.
