Installing License

This section describes how to install the license.

Only one activated license exists in the system. Activating a new license invalidates the original one.

After you purchase or renew a license, you can use either of the following methods to activate a license:

Local manual activation

After you purchase or renew a license and obtain the license authorization certificate, apply for and activate the license file manually.
Automatic online activation

After you purchase or renew a license and obtain the license authorization certificate, obtain the Entitlement ID. The device submits the Entitlement ID to the license center website to automatically activate the license.
Trial License

If you have not purchased a license, the device provides one-time trial use. Resources available for trial use include the antivirus and IPS functions.
